RARE ETHNIC – TERMS AND CONDITIONS

 

1. GENERAL

By accessing this site or purchasing from Rare Ethnic, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

 

2. PRODUCTS

All products are handcrafted and may vary slightly in color, size, and design. Product descriptions and pricing are subject to change without notice.

 

3. ORDERS & PAYMENT

Orders are processed upon receipt of full payment.
We accept major payment methods: EFT, debit/credit card, and selected mobile payments.
Prices are listed in South African Rand (ZAR) and include VAT where applicable.

Since we specialize in custom-made products, all our items are made to order.

Payment Options: 💰

  • Pay the full amount by purchasing through our website. Your order will be processed and production will begin.
  • Place your order through Business WhatsApp or Email. We will send you an invoice and require a 100% deposit to begin production.

 

4. LEAD TIME

The lead time for bag orders is 10–20 working days. Smaller items may be completed faster, depending on design and materials.
We strictly operate on a first come, first served basis.

 

5. SHIPPING & DELIVERY 🚚

You have the option of door-to-door courier delivery.

  • For deliveries within the Greater City of Durban and Main Centres in South Africa, we charge a flat rate of R150.
  • For areas outside of Main Centres, we charge a flat rate of R185.
  • Customers may also collect their order. Collection details will only be provided upon confirmed orders.

We are not responsible for delays caused by courier services or circumstances beyond our control.

 

6. LIABILITY

We respect your privacy. Rare Ethnic shall not be held liable for any indirect or consequential loss or damage.

 

7. REFUNDS

We aim to ensure complete customer satisfaction. Due to the nature of our business and the fact that our products are custom-made to order, we enforce a strict but fair refund policy.

Eligibility for Refunds:

  • Refund requests must be made within 7 days of delivery.
  • The product must be in original, unused condition, with all tags and packaging intact.
  • Refunds are only issued for standard catalogue items. Custom or personalised orders are non-refundable, unless defective.
  • A valid proof of purchase is required.

Non-Refundable Situations Include:

  • Damage caused by misuse or failure to follow care instructions.
  • Change of mind on custom-made products.
  • Delivery delays caused by third-party couriers.

Refund Process:

  • To initiate a return, email info@rareethnic.co.za with your order number, details, and reason for the request.
  • Once approved, return instructions will be provided. The customer is responsible for return shipping costs unless the product is defective or incorrect.
  • Once we receive and inspect the returned item, approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 5–10 working days.

Fraud & Scam Prevention:

  • All returns are subject to inspection and approval. Any suspicious, manipulated, or fraudulent activity will result in the denial of the refund and may lead to further investigation.
  • We reserve the right to block customers who repeatedly exploit the refund system.
